This policy explains what data BuilderBots collects, why, and how we protect it. We collect the minimum needed to run the Service, and your projects are isolated per tenant by design.

2. What we collect

• Account data — email address and authentication identifiers.
• Project data — the prompts, code, files, and settings you provide or generate.
• Usage data — task logs, agent activity, and spend, used for budgets and debugging.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, and cookies (see below).

3. How we use data

• To operate the Service and run agents on your behalf.
• To enforce budgets, security, and tenant isolation.
• To debug issues and improve reliability and quality.
• To communicate with you about your account and the Service.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. AI models & processors

To generate code and plans, the Service sends relevant project context to large language model providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and others) and runs on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP). These processors act on our behalf under contractual data-protection terms. You can influence which models are used from your settings.

5. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

• Essential — required for sign-in, security, and core functionality.
• Preferences — remember your settings, such as cookie consent.
• Analytics — optional, help us understand aggregate usage. Set only with your consent.

You control non-essential cookies through the consent banner shown on your first visit, and can change your choice at any time by clearing your cookies.

6. Sharing

We share data only with the processors needed to run the Service (model and cloud providers), when required by law, or to protect rights and safety. We never share your project data across tenants.

7. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, tenant isolation enforced at the database via row-level security, scoped access controls, and budget guardrails. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to limit risk and blast radius.

8. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete a project or your account, we remove the associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.
